We are African Clean Energy. We are a rapidly growing B Corp enterprise focused on enabling decentralised access to clean energy for households in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. We are currently operating in Lesotho, Cambodia, Kenya and Uganda. Our mission is to eliminate the worst forms of poverty on a platform of clean energy and smartphone technology.

The Opportunity
As a Medior/Senior CRM Manager at African Clean Energy, you’ll collaborate closely with the CTO to optimize and manage our Salesforce CRM system. Your work will be critical in enhancing customer engagement, streamlining internal processes, and generating data-driven insights across marketing, sales, consumer lending, and customer support. You will drive CRM strategy, ensure data integrity, and help shape customer journeys that lead to impactful outcomes in the regions we serve.

  • Develop and implement CRM strategies that align with our marketing, sales, and customer support goals.
  • Manage and optimize Salesforce, ensuring smooth integration with other systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy and reliability across CRM systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Analyze customer, lending, and operational data to generate actionable insights and improve business performance.
  • Map and optimize the customer journey, enhancing engagement and retention through personalized communication.
  • Lead CRM projects from concept to implementation, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure CRM efforts align with broader business objectives.
  • Present insights and updates to senior leadership, translating complex data into clear recommendations.

 

We’d really like to hear from you if…

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in CRM management, with hands-on expertise in Salesforce.
  • You have a strong understanding of CRM best practices, customer segmentation, and data analysis.
  • You are skilled in tools like Excel, SQL, or Apex for data analytics and reporting.
  • You are detail-oriented and can ensure data accuracy across complex systems.
  • You are a strong communicator, able to present findings to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
  • You have project management experience and can lead CRM initiatives from start to finish.
  • You have a collaborative mindset, enjoy working across teams, and are passionate about social impact.
  • Experience in consumer lending, renewable energy, or social impact sectors is a plus.
