Rewards Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the Connected Months prize draw and the Riverside collection offered by African Clean Energy (ACE) (“we”, “our” or “us”) to the Customer (“you” or “your”) through the ACE Connect App. By taking part you agree to be bound by these Terms. ACE reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and at its sole discretion. Material changes will be communicated through the ACE Connect App and the latest version of the Terms will always be available on our official website.

The prize draw is free to enter. There is nothing to buy and nothing to pay.

1. Eligibility

1.1. The prize draw is open to ACE customers in Uganda who own an ACE One cooking stove.

1.2. Whether you have an ACE loan makes no difference. Customers repaying a loan, customers behind on payments, and customers who own their stove outright take part on exactly the same terms.

1.3. ACE staff and members of their households may not win. If a drawn entry belongs to one, we record this and draw again.

2. How Entries Are Earned

2.1. You earn one entry for each of your ACE One stoves, for each calendar month in which that stove syncs through the ACE Connect App.

2.2. Syncing is free. No purchase, payment or fee is required to earn an entry, and nothing you already hold is given up by taking part.

2.3. Each entry is given a number in the order it is earned. Your entries are shown in the App.

2.4. Entries are permanent. An entry stays in its draw once earned, including if you later cease to be an ACE customer or your stove is returned.

3. Prizes

3.1. The prize for each draw, and the number of entries at which that draw is made, are shown in the ACE Connect App. Please check the App for what is currently offered.

3.2. Prizes vary from one draw to the next. A prize may be cash, credit towards an ACE loan, goods, or a combination. There is no fixed prize and no fixed amount.

3.3. Where a prize is cash and you hold an ACE loan, you may choose to receive it as credit towards that loan instead. The choice is yours and we will ask you when we contact you.

3.4. Except as described in 3.3, a prize cannot be exchanged for cash or for a different prize.

3.5. Where a prize is a particular product, we name that product so you know what you would receive. The companies named have no connection with ACE, are not associated with this draw, and do not sponsor it.

3.6. We may change the prize for any draw that has not yet been made, on giving notice in the App. Once a draw has been made, its prize is fixed.

4. How the Draw Is Made

4.1. The winning number is generated using random.org, a public random number service.

4.2. Each draw is made live in the presence of witnesses, at least one of whom is from outside the ACE Uganda commercial team. A record of every draw is kept.

4.3. If the drawn number does not correspond to an entry, we record this and draw again.

5. Winners

5.1. We will contact you using the details held on your ACE account.

5.2. We will ask whether you agree to your name being shown in the App. If you would rather not, we announce the winning entry number only. Your prize is the same either way, and you may change your decision at any time by telling us.

5.3. If we are unable to reach you within 90 days of the draw, the prize is drawn again. Before that happens we will attempt to reach you on the telephone number held on your account and through your ACE agent.

6. The Riverside Collection

6.1. In any week in which one of your stoves syncs, the App reveals one character for your Riverside collection.

6.2. Every reveal succeeds. There is no chance of receiving nothing, no duplicates, and no way to buy, trade or exchange a character.

6.3. The collection has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money, goods or credit.

7. Changes and Ending the Draw

7.1. ACE may amend these Terms, or end the prize draw in respect of future entries, on giving notice in the App.

7.2. Entries already earned remain in their draw.

8. Your Information

8.1. We use the details held on your ACE account to operate the draw and to contact winners.

8.2. We publish nothing about you without your agreement. For full details on how we collect, use and share your data, please refer to the ACE Connect Privacy Policy, available within the App and on our website.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which you are an ACE customer.
