This privacy policy explains how ACE Energy Holdings BV (the "Controller", "we", "us") processes personal data collected through the website africancleanenergy.com. We are committed to processing personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Dutch implementing law.

2. What data we collect

  • Email correspondence. If you email us at info@africancleanenergy.com, we receive your email address, name and the message content. Retained for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and our ongoing business relationship.
  • Server access logs. Our hosting provider (Greenhost B.V., Amsterdam) records standard web server logs including IP address, timestamp, requested URL and user-agent. Retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes.
  • Map tile requests. The interactive deployment map on the Operations page loads tiles from Mapbox, Inc. When you view the map, your browser sends your IP address to Mapbox. See Mapbox's privacy policy.

We do not use analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or advertising technology on this site.

3. Lawful basis

  • Email correspondence: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Server logs: legitimate interest in securing and operating the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Map tiles: legitimate interest in providing the map feature (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Data sharing

We share personal data only with processors that support our operations: our hosting provider (Greenhost B.V.), our email provider, and Mapbox (for map tiles). These processors are bound by data processing agreements where required. We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

Mapbox is established in the United States. Transfers outside the European Economic Area rely on standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data;
  • Request rectification or erasure;
  • Restrict or object to processing;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
