Environmental engineer and social enterprise entrepreneur. Founded African Clean Energy in 2011 and has led deployments across sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. EY Impact Entrepreneur of the Year (2021).
Tarren Engel
Head of Finance
Finance leader with two decades of financial management experience across South Africa and the Netherlands. Oversees group financial strategy, reporting and capital structuring.
Daniel Walker
Chief Operating Officer
Operations leader overseeing manufacturing, distribution and market expansion across five countries. Currently directing the Senegal rollout from the ground. Previously led large-scale deployments in Cambodia.
Rethabile Mafura
Country Director - Lesotho
Seven years at ACE Lesotho, leading 16 retail hubs, manufacturing and distribution operations. Also serves as Netherlands Honorary Consul to Lesotho.
Frédérique Sheridan
Country Director - Senegal
Off-grid energy specialist with 25+ years building and running companies in Senegal. Leads ACE's Senegal market entry and operational scaling.
Wang-Shi Hu
Chief Technology Officer
Technology architect behind ACE's hardware platform and digital monitoring systems. Over 20 years of technology leadership including seven years at ACE.
